Harvest Time At Church

While I was in Oregon visiting my dad, the girls and Chris went to the Harvest Carnavel at our church. The girls had a great time!

Last Sunday we had our church's Thanksgiving dinner. We had yummy food and good fellowship. Madi was excited to sit with her friend, Katie.

We have a door...

We have a door downstairs!  Okay, when I came upstairs to blog, we had one, now we have two.  Our neighbor use to install doors, so he came over and showed Chris how to do it.  Chris knew he would eventually figure it out, but this way he will save time and know he is doing it correctly.  When we bought our house it only had three doors downstairs.  We thought we could save the three, but ended up not because the jams were messed up.  So we will be buying 9 doors and two bi-sliders all together.

This summer Chris worked on scraping the paint off our window wells.  There were four out of five painted.  We sprayed them with a dark bronze color.  It looks great!  Last week we had our new windows installed; most of the old ones were in bad shape.

Last month we also got the last of the lighting up and working!  Chris, Charlie and his son worked many hours getting the electrical work done.  Thank you Charlie and son!

Note: The brown in the after pictures is the same as the upstair's brown.

AWANA Hero Night

For AWANA night on October 26th, the girls dressed up as super heroes.  As you can see Madi is a Baby Doctor.  She got the outfit as a hand me down from Jessica.  She was so excited to wear it out in public.  Thank you Jessica!  We borrowed the stethoscope from Garrett.  Thank you Garrett!
Emma was Bible Girl.  She made her mask and her B.  The b has Bible Verses on it.  It was fun to see what she picked out to wear.  Her cape was made by Grammy when she was around 3 yrs.  As you can see, it doesn't go down to her ankles anymore, but both girls still use it for dress up.

My Husband

I want to first say, that my dad is doing great.  He was able to come home on Sunday after 7 days in the hospital. Medication is working, but they are still monitoring him carefully.
I came home last night to a picked up and cleaned house!   Chris is the best husband ever, and don't argue with me, because he is.  He sent me to Oregon to be with my dad and took care of everything at home.  He already does way beyond what he needs to on a daily basis.  While I was gone he even worked on some projects to surprise me with.  Thank you Christopher!  You are the best.  I am blessed.

Disneyland Pictures From My Dad's Camera

Since I am at my parent's house, I thought I would go through Dad's pictures and pick out some that my camera didn't capture....

First Snow

We recently had our first snow. Although I like the warmer weather, if it's cold outside, it's nice to look at something nice.

My Dad

Last Friday I got a call from my dad telling me he had a slight stroke that affected his vision.  The next morning I booked a flight at 8:30AM and left the house at 11:15AM.  It was good to see him and give him a hug.
The doctor's office did not get on the ball in regards to testing, so Monday Mom and I pushed to have the tests done that day instead of Wednesday.  The first test was not going well; they soon sent him right into the emergency room and admitted him.  They found that he has atrial fibrillation.  When you have atrial fibrillation it can cause a stroke.   They are assuming that is what happened.  Tuesday everything got under control and he is doing well.  He is still in the hospital and hopes to come home soon.  Through all this craziness, the Lord orchestrated timings perfectly.  God is good.
