To Dad

Madi wrote this letter to Chris at school. I thought it was super cute. The letter says:
"To Dad, You are the best! You're the best at video games, especially Super Mario Galaxy! You bake the best Hobo Hash! Yum, Yum!
Love, Madi"

Note: Hobo hash is eggs, ham, potatoes, and cheese all mixed together. Chris usually makes hobo hash once a week. Also to note, you can click on the picture to see it in more detail.

Growing Garden

Memorial Day we, as a family, planted our garden. Chris planted pumpkins, sunflowers, and corn. Emma, Madi and I planted lettuce, carrots, and beans. We recently went to check to see if we had any plants. We did! The girls were so excited, I'm sure our neighbor could hear them screech with joy every time they discovered a new plant. This is our first time planting a garden. Even though I have planted many gardens with my dad, I still was nervous I wouldn't have anything grow. I have to warn you, Dad, my rows aren't as strait, but there are things growing (smile).

Park

A couple of weeks ago while the girls were off track we went to the girls favorite park with Lori, Garret and Matthew for a picnic. We had a wonderful time. Can you believe I didn't take my camera? Thankfully Lori had hers.

Madi going through the tunnels.

Madi and Garret raced Emma and Matthew on the horses. It was cute.

Emma enjoyed playing with Matthew. After Matthew got down to the bottom of the slide he smiled and giggled. Yes, it was cute as well. I also have to comment on their shirts. As you can see they are both wearing orange. Although Matthew is wearing a Beavers shirt, Emma is wearing a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup shirt and would never where orange to support the Beavers (smile). GO DUCKS!

Ice Cream

Last Friday I surprised the girls with ice cream from a local dairy farm called Winder Farms. I invited along my friend Michelle with her two girls. We walked to her local library and then had a picnic lunch and ice cream at Winder Farm's Market. It was the girls first time to the market. They were so excited to have ice cream. Unfortunately I didn't get good pictures of everyone. Here are a couple of the girls....

Emma had cookie dough, I had chocolate brownie (Emma is holding mine while I'm taking the pictures) and Madi had caramel ice cream.
