Disneyland Birthday

During our fall break we headed to Disneyland.  My dad treated us to a Disneyland vacation.  Thank you Dad!  We had a great time!

My Emma Lane is 10 years old.  Her birthday was Wednesday, but we celebrated it on Friday.  She loved having a Tinker Bell Birthday at Disneyland.  The cupcakes were made by Daddy and Madi.  They didn't look as pretty as they did at home, but the frosting and sprinkles covered that all up.

To top off her Birthday, Emma got to meet her favorite Fairy, Silver Mist.

Many more Disneyland pictures to come....

The Pumpkin Patch

Last year was our first year that we didn't travel to a pumpkin patch.  I decided that we didn't need pumpkins and we could save money.  The girls were sad.  This year we decided to plant pumpkin seeds.  It was cheep and the girls enjoyed watching the pumpkins grow.  We were blessed with four pumpkins.  How fitting.  And each a different size that could easily represent each of us.
Friday we decided to take a trip to our pumpkin patch and pick our pumpkins.  There was no hay ride or apples to eat, but we grew them and we got to pick them.  The girls had just as much fun.
Emma discovered that the pumpkin plants are scratchy and that they each needed gloves to pick their pumpkin.

More Zoo

Those that were glad that they would not see anymore zoo pictures when our zoo membership was up in June, sorry, but we are excited that my brother and sister-n-law gave us a zoo membership for our family's birthdays. Thank you Anne and Darryl (and Alice)!  We went to the zoo September 18th.  Chris went with us as well, which is always a treat for us girls.  Here are some moments of our trip...

Red Butte Gardens

When we first moved to Utah, Chris took me to Red Butte Gardens for our first Utah date (See April 2009 "Red Butte in Salt Lake City, Utah" post). We had a good time, but not worth the money we spent, especially coming from Oregon with all the beautiful (free) gardens. A couple of weeks ago, Red Butte Gardens had a free entry day and thought it might be a fun family outing. There was much more to see in September then April.  Beautiful.  We had a great time...

Skate Night

Last night was PTA Skate Night for the girl's school.  PTA member got in free.  Thankfully it wasn't busy when we were there until we were ready to leave.  The girls had a blast...

Emma got to skate with two of her friends.
